Containers for ice-cream &c. -An edible container for ice cream &c. is made substantially rectangular and is provided internally with means for supporting the front and back walls and with ribs for supporting the ice cream or the like above the bottom. As shown, the support for the walls 11, 12 comprises a partition 18 formed integrally with the walls and with the bottom 15 which is provided with the ribs 19. The end walls 13, 14 are inclined and the mouth of the container is flared. The end and side walls may also be formed with ribs 19.

摘要： A trial implant assembly is provided that includes a threaded shaft having exterior threading adjacent a distal end and a trial implant that includes a trial base having an interiorly threaded through hole couplable to the distal end of the shaft and a trial head having a superior endplate and an inferior endplate and a support connecting the superior endplate to the inferior endplate. A variety of visualization windows are provided through the trial implant as well as a variety of mechanically adjustable stops to prevent over insertion of the trial head within the intervertebral disc space.

摘要： An intervertebral implant component of an intervertebral implant includes an outer surface for engaging an adjacent vertebra and an inner surface. A keel extends from the outer surface and is designed to be disposed in a slot provided in the adjacent vertebra. This keel extends in a plane which is non-perpendicular to the outer surface; and preferably there are two of the keels extending from the outer surface which are preferably offset laterally from one another. In another embodiment, an anterior shelf is provided at an anterior end of the outer surface, and this anterior shelf extends vertically away from the inner surface in order to help prevent bone growth from the adjacent vertebra towards the inner surface. Further in accordance with disclosed embodiments, various materials, shapes and forms of construction of the component and/or keel provide various benefits.

摘要： A system for performing a less invasive surgical procedure and, in particular, devices and methods for spinal fixation. The system comprises dilation tool(s), at least one working/insertion cannula, a plurality of screws, at least one fixation rod for connecting the screws, and a rod inserter. The dilation tool(s) may be used to dilate an incision made in a patient to form an opening. Thereafter, a drill may be used to form holes in the vertebrae. An insertion cannula may be attached to a screw and inserted into the opening. The screws may be polyaxial screws and may be inserted into the vertebrae using a screwdriver. An operator may then move the insertion cannula to manipulate a head portions of the screws such that the head portions may be aligned to receive a fixation rod. A rod inserter may be used to insert a fixation rod into the head portions. After the fixation rod is in place, it may be locked to the screws, thereby fixing the system in place on the spine.

The cutting blade is mounted on a support structure for movement toward and cutting into the vertebral bone. A stop arrangement is also mounted on the support structure and is movable relative to the cutting blade to a position to limit movement of the cutting blade into the vertebral bone. Typically, the limited movement cutting is made after two cutouts are provided in adjacent vertebral bones using a trial implant.

摘要： An intervertebral implant for fusing vertebrae is disclosed. The implant has a body with curved, substantially parallel posterior and anterior faces separated by two narrow implant ends, superior and inferior faces having a plurality of undulating surfaces for contacting upper and lower vertebral endplates, and at least one depression in the anterior or posterior face for engagement by an insertion tool, at least two vertical through-channels extending through the implant from the superior face to the inferior face, a chamfer on the superior and inferior surfaces at one of the narrow implant ends, and a beveled edge along a perimeter of the superior and inferior faces. The arcuate implant configuration and the chamfers on the superior and inferior faces at the narrow end facilitate insertion of the implant from a transforaminal approach into a symmetric position about the midline of the spine so that a single implant provides balanced support to the spinal column. The implant may include radiopaque markers extending through the thickness of the implant to indicate the location and size of the implant. The implant may be formed of a plurality of interconnecting bodies assembled to form a single unit. An implantation kit and method are also disclosed.
