The usual holding-up spring k' is attached to an adjustable holdfast k. When the lay is in its backward position, the reed is backed up by means of a bowl carried by a lever on a lateral extension of the bar d and adapted to engage an adjustable C-shaped spring.

Window holders for sliding sashes.-A windowholder comprises spring-pressed bolts in the frame and racks on the edges of the sash or vice versa. The bolts have rectangular heads h projecting through similar openings in the flanged casing g, a nut and lock-nut being provided on the end of the bolt stem and an intermediate adjusting-nut for the spring h if desired. The racks consist of wavy bars i &c. In the case of more than one sash side by side in a frame, double-ended bolts, Fig. 12, are provided, one end H being fixed to the stem and the other H to a flanged collar sliding thereon. The flange H and the cross-head H limit the protrusion of the bolt-heads from the casing. Two bolts are provided on each side of the sash. The sashes and frame may be assembled before building into a wall &c.

摘要： A buckle for receiving a strap member and for snap-fitting to a snap stud located on a helmet, the buckle including a metal member having opposite ends and opposite first and second substantially planar surfaces, with an aperture located between the ends and a slit on either side of the aperture, each of the slits including a plurality of rugous surfaces suitable for frictionally engaging a strap member positionable there through. A metal snap configured to be matingly engagable with the snap stud of the helmet is affixed adjacent to the first surface of the metal member by a fastener connectingly associated with the metal snap and the aperture of the metal member. A plastic material substantially encases the metal member except that at least a portion of the rugous surfaces and a portion of the first surface of the metal member adjacent the metal snap are not encased by the plastic material and remain exposed.
