    • A system, an apparatus and a method for coping with mobile switching node failure are disclosed. The method includes: an HLR (Home Location Register) detects that a first MSC (Mobile Switching Center) is not able to operate; the requesting party of a terminating service submits a request to the HLR for obtaining required location information for a called party registered on the first MSC, and the HLR selects a second MSC for the requesting party and requests for location information from the second MSC; the second MSC returns the location information to the HLR; the HLR returns the location information to the requesting party of the terminating service; and the requesting party of a terminating service performs subsequent service according to the location information.

    • The present invention discloses an inter-domain routing method for a dual-mode terminal, and a registration system and method. In the present invention, with an inter-domain IWGW, the dual-mode terminal registers respectively with the IWGW when it logins in the circuit domain or the packet domain; a GMSC or CSCF triggers to the IWGM upon receipt of a call for the terminal; the IWGW decides the route according to the registration state and a predefined policy; and the GMSC or CSCF continues the call according the decision result. A practical policy is to route the call to a domain where the terminal has a latest registration. A SFF is added between the HLR and the VLR, for duplicating and forwarding the interaction signaling between the VLR and the HLR to the IWGW. The present invention also discloses an Interwork Gateway and a Signaling Forking Function.

    • An AKA method, and authentication method and related devices are disclosed so that a user card not supporting storing of a SQN can resist replay attacks during an AKA procedure. In an AKA method, a second device generates a fourth sequence number for a user according to system time of the second device if the second device determines that the fourth sequence number for the user is not stored in the second device and synchronizing a third sequence number of the user that is stored by a first device with the fourth sequence number by interacting with the first device. The second device and the first device may perform an anti-replay protection in authentication using the synchronized third sequence number and the fourth sequence numbers. In the AKA method, a terminal can generate a SQN based on the system time and a random number which makes the SQN value more random. Even if an attacker knows the time value or even controls the system time of the terminal, the attacker is unable to predict the SQN generated by the terminal so that a replay attack is improbable. The security is thus enhanced.

    • A network handover method applicable to network handover in ringing/ring back tone (RBT) or call hold is provided. According to this method, in ringing/RBT, one party performs a session negotiation with an Other End Point (OEP) via a call continuity application server, and then sends an off-hook signal to the OEP via the call continuity application server after the negotiation succeeds. Further, a call continuity application server and a user equipment (UE) are provided. According to the present disclosure, in ringing/RBT or call hold, even if the network coverage is not good, the UE may also be handed over to another network through call continuity, so as to effectively prevent the UE from dropping a call in ringing/RBT or call hold and thus improve the conversation quality of the user.

By adopting the solution, it is not necessary to modify existing network cells in the CS domain network, and the routing process is simplified. It is not necessary for handoff control layer entities to simulate original services of the CS domain. There is no new requirement for functions of the MGCF entity.
