    • The present invention proposes a new structure for a high input VRM. This structure is similar to a simple buck converter and can simplify the 48V input VRM design. In this present invention, the interleaved voltage regulator is provided. The interleaved voltage regulator includes an integrated magnetic device for performing both transformer and output choke filter function, a first switch, a second switch, a third switch, and a fourth switch, wherein the integrated magnetic device includes a transformer having a first primary winding, a second primary winding, a first secondary winding, and a second secondary winding, a first choke filter having one end coupled to a first terminal of the first secondary winding, and a second choke filter having one end coupled to a first terminal of the second secondary winding, and the other end of the second choke filter coupled to the other end of the first choke filter to form the output terminal of the isolated voltage regulator. The first switch, the second switch, the first choke filter, and the first secondary winding form a synchronous rectifier circuit. The third switch, the fourth switch, the second choke filter, and the second secondary winding form another synchronous rectifier circuit.

    • A voltage-regulating circuit according to the present invention includes a power conversion circuit, an input voltage detecting circuit and a feedback circuit. The power conversion circuit includes at least one switch element, wherein during operation of the at least one switch element, an input voltage is converted into a transition voltage. The input voltage detecting circuit is connected to the power conversion circuit for outputting a detected voltage signal corresponding to the input voltage. The feedback circuit is connected to the power conversion circuit and the input voltage detecting circuit for generating a feedback control signal. In such way, as the input voltage is changed, the feedback circuit will adjust to make the transition voltage changed as with the change of the detected voltage signal corresponding to the input voltage.

    • An asymmetrical full bridge DC-to-DC converter comprises an asymmetrical full bridge circuit which includes main switches and auxiliary switches, a capacitor connected in series to the branch circuit of the auxiliary switches, and a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding. The primary winding of transformer is connected to the common point of each leg of the full bridge. A rectification circuit is connected at the secondary winding of the transformer to obtain dc voltage output. In operation, an asymmetrical control method is applied for these main switches and auxiliary switches. Main switches and auxiliary switches turn on and turn off compensatively. A linear control characteristic of output voltage to switching duty cycle and an optimal reset of the transformer core is achieved by this invention.

    • The present invention discloses a DC-to-DC converter. The DC-to-DC converter includes a square wave generator for generating a sequence of output voltages having a waveform of square wave. The DC-to-DC converter further includes a resonant tank connected to the square wave generator comprising a series capacitor connected to a series inductor and a parallel inductor. The DC-to-DC converter further includes a transformer having a primary side connected in series with the series inductor and connected in parallel to the parallel inductor. The transformer further includes a secondary side for connecting to a rectifying circuit for providing a rectified DC voltage to an output load circuit. The series capacitor functioning with the series inductor to provide a first characteristic resonant frequency represented by ƒs, and the series capacitor functioning with the series inductor and the parallel inductor to provide a second characteristic resonant frequency represented by ƒm wherein ƒs>ƒm. The converter runs at variable frequency switching to perform output regulation. The converter features high conversion efficiency at high input operation by switching at frequency between the first and second characteristic resonant frequency. In a preferred embodiment, the parallel inductor is integrated to transformer as primary magnetizing inductor and in further the series inductor may also be integrated into transformer.
