The composition of matter comprises an adhesive composition that includes a glycerol-based polyol. The glycerol-based polyol prevents the composition from becoming brittle and is non-volatile. This allows the composition to become rewetted after creping and allows for strong levels of adhesion even at high temperatures.

摘要： The invention provides a method of improving the digestion of wood chips into pulp. The method involves: adding a liphohydrophilic glycerol-based polymer additive to a solution used in the digestion process. This additive is unexpectedly effective at facilitating digestion. The branched and ether structure of the additive allows it to withstand the harsh nature of a highly alkaline environment. In addition, it is more soluble in high pH than other surfactants. The structure, resistance, and particular balance between hydrophobic and hydrophilic regions, causes the additive to increases the interaction between the wood chips and the digestion chemicals. This in turn reduces the costs, the amount of additive needed, and the amount of reject wood chunks that result from the digestion process.

摘要： A storage subsystem for use in a data processing system having real and extended storage, a vector processor and a store-in cache buffer. Transfers between real and extended storage are performed with a store buffer external to the cache, but comparable in size to the line size of the cache directly associated with the real storage. Hard data errors in the cache are corrected with hardware invert-retry mechanism which operates in response to a machine check and does the correction as a part of the instruction retry. Vector processor storage operations bypass the cache and transfer data directly from storage to the vector processor.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and system for publishing subscriptions in a publish-subscribe system in accordance with subscription groups. Embodiments may include (i) determining a consumption characteristic by which each of a plurality of subscribers in a publish-subscribe system consumes a subscription published by a publisher; (ii) identifying the subscribers whose consumption characteristics satisfy a specified similarity criterion; (iii) defining a plurality of subscription groups, each of which includes subscriptions of those of the subscribers whose consumption characteristics satisfy the specified similarity criterion; and (iv) transmitting the subscriptions to the subscribers in accordance with the subscription groups. Embodiments may also include moving a subscription of the subscriber, from a first subscription group having subscriptions of those of the subscribers whose consumption characteristics correspond to a first specified similarity criterion, to a second subscription group having subscriptions of those of the subscribers whose consumption characteristics correspond to a second specified similarity criterion.
