    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind cup type wind power generation device capable of disempowering dual negative force of wind received with a convex surface of a wind cup and taking out excellent original capability of a wind cup type power generation method.SOLUTION: A wind cup type wind power generation device includes a wind cup section 3 for rotating a plurality of wind cups, a windshield section 2 for making the wind cup section 3 effectively rotate by detecting a direction of wind, and a power generator 5 for generating power by rotation of the wind cups. The windshield section 2 is configured such that a windshield 21 and a wind receiver 25 are connected with each other respectively through a windshield arm 22 and a wind receiver arm 24 via a windshield rotation ring 23. The windshield section 2 can be freely rotated independently of the wind cup section 3. The windshield arm 22 has such a shape that when the convex surface of one of the wind cups 35 is faced windward, the windshield arm 22 makes the windshield 21 be positioned in front of the one of the wind cups 35 so as to block a wind to be received by the one of the wind cups 35. Thus, rotation of the wind cups is enhanced and a power generation efficiency of the wind cup type wind power generation device is raised.
