    • A control device that controls discharge of a nonaqueous secondary battery in order that discharge electric power of the nonaqueous secondary battery does not exceed an upper limit value includes a current sensor and a controller. The controller calculates an evaluation value for evaluating a first deterioration component based on a discharge state detected by using the current sensor. The first deterioration component is a component that reduces output performance of the nonaqueous secondary battery due to an imbalance of ion concentrations in an electrolytic solution caused by discharging the nonaqueous secondary battery. The controller integrates a value obtained by subtracting a correction coefficient from a first integrated value obtained by integrating the evaluation values in past, which exceed a target value, and the evaluation value at present, which exceeds the target value, to calculate a second integrated value. When the second integrated value exceeds a threshold value, the controller reduces the upper limit value.

    • An operation switching circuit switches over two comparators, which receives communication data, in accordance with a normal mode and a standby mode of a microcomputer. A delay circuit delays a mode switching signal. The mode switching signal and the delayed signal are combined by an OR gate and an AND gate to two comparator control signals, which have different high level periods. The comparators are driven by the comparator control signals, while a multiplexer is driven by the delayed signal. When one comparator is switched from the inoperative state to the operative state, the other comparator is continued to be held operative for the delay period before being switched to the inoperative state.

    • Information recording media enable images to be recorded and reproduced with high resolution, wherein oozing of liquid crystal material thereof is prevented and the information is recorded without unevenness. A first recording medium has an information recording layer comprising a liquid crystal phase and an ultraviolet curing resin phase. The information recording layer is stacked on an electrode layer provided on a substrate by coating a mixed solution of liquid crystal and ultraviolet curing resin material on the surface of the electrode layer and then irradiating the coating by irradiation with ultraviolet rays, thereby forming a cured skin layer of the resin material on the outer surface of the information recording layer. A second recording medium has a transparent electrode layer additionally provided on the information recording layer of the first recording medium. A third recording medium has an electrode layer, a photoconductive layer, an information recording layer, and an electrode layer, in successive order. A fourth recording medium has a transparent insulating layer or semiconductor layer interposed between the photoconductive layer and the information recording layer of the third recording medium. According to an information recording and reproducing method employing the first recording medium, a gradually increasing voltage is applied between a photosensitive member and the recording medium. As a result, the effective voltage applied to the liquid crystal layer can be raised, enabling increased modulation, improved contrast and responsiveness.
