摘要： A valve assembly for mixing hot and cold water includes a rotable non-reciprocal valve member positioned therein to control the mixture of hot and cold water in the outlet stream. The valve member has a hollow stem tube having hot and cold inlet and outlet ports which are rotably engageable with the hot and cold inlets and outlets of the sleeve. The stem tube includes at least one wear plate receiving area for receiving at least one wear plate. The wear plate is in fluid communication with at least one of the stem tube hot and cold water inlet and outlet ports. The valve assembly may further include a stem driver which is attached to the stem tube to control rotational movement of the stem tube and a sleeve which receives the stem tube.

摘要： A radiation therapy system comprises a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system combined with an irradiation system, which can include one or more linear accelerators (linacs) that can emit respective radiation beams suitable for radiation therapy. The MRI system includes a split magnet system, comprising first and second main magnets separated by gap. A gantry is positioned in the gap between the main MRI magnets and supports the linac(s) of the irradiation system. The gantry is rotatable independently of the MRI system and can angularly reposition the linac(s). Shielding can also be provided in the form of magnetic and/or RF shielding. Magnetic shielding can be provided for shielding the linac(s) from the magnetic field generated by the MRI magnets. RF shielding can be provided for shielding the MRI system from RF radiation from the linac.

摘要： A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system includes a split magnet system having a pair of MRI magnet housings separated by gap. A pair of main MRI magnets are disposed within respective MRI magnet housings. A plurality of buttress assemblies are attached to the MRI magnet housings. Some or all of the buttress assemblies are provided with removable connections to the MRI magnet housings. This allows for partial disassembly of the MRI system for improved transport and maneuverability for relocating the MRI system. The MRI system can include a gantry in the gap for supporting a radiation therapy system. Also, the removably buttress assemblies can be used for housing conduits, such as electrical and fluid conduits, between the pair of MRI magnet housings.

摘要： A surgical guidance system is disclosed that allows for real-time imaging and patient monitoring during a surgical procedure. The system can include an MRI system for generating real-time images of the patient while surgery is being performed. Prior to surgery, a surgical plan can be created using a planning interface. A control unit receives the real-time image data and the surgical plan, and monitors the image data based on parameters included in the surgical plan. The control-unit monitoring occurs in real-time while the surgical procedure is being performed. The control unit can detect deviations from the surgical plan and/or high-risk patient conditions and instruct an alert unit to issue an alert based on the detected conditions.

The stem tube hot water inlet port has at least one tapered portion with is engageable with a tapered portion of the sleeve to provide a larger range of mixed range temperatures in the resulting outlet stream. Sleeve ribs, rims and raised edges provide a smoother fluid passageway for increased flow and for the eliminating of stacking.

摘要： A faucet includes a valve body having inlet conduits and an outlet. There is a valve control element within the valve body to control flow from the inlet conduits to the outlet. A vacuum breaker hub is mounted on the valve body and forms a chamber with the exterior of the valve body. The valve body outlet opens into the chamber. There is a vacuum breaker system on the hub which includes a plurality of openings in the hub communicating with the chamber. There is a flexible valve element on the inside of the hub which normally closes the openings. There are ribs within the chamber, extending inwardly from the hub which ribs are on opposite sides of the vacuum breaker openings to preclude the flow of fluid from the valve body outlet to the area of the chamber about the flexible valve element.

An alternative embodiment includes non-spherical inner and outer chambers whose respective walls are spaced equidistant over the entire surfaces thereof.
