摘要： A multiple barrier control system includes a plurality of barrier operators configured to move associated access barriers between limit positions. Each of the barrier operators are enabled to communicate with one or more local transmitters. The local transmitters may maintain an all-close button, an all-open button, and an all-stop button, which are associated with corresponding functions maintained by the barrier operators. Upon the actuation of one of the buttons, the associated function is simultaneously carried out by each of the associated barrier operators. Additionally, a portable network control may invoke the simultaneous control of functions at each of the barrier operators via an associated communication network. Moreover, scenes may be created wherein the barrier operators and other accessories, such as lights and appliances, may be moved or actuated to a desired status upon actuation of a scene button on either the local transmitter or the portable network control.

摘要： An operator (32) with transmitter overwrite protection is used with a plurality of different transmitters (40, 42, 44). Each type of transmitter has at least one command button that when actuated generates a signal which includes at least a transmitter identifying code. The operator includes a receiver (170) capable of receiving the signal from any of the plurality of transmitters and a memory device (62) that has a plurality of storage locations (63a-f). A controller (60) is connected to the receiver and the controller stores each transmitter identifying code in a corresponding storage location. The controller overwrites one of the transmitter identifying codes in a corresponding storage location when a new transmitting code is learned if the plurality of storage locations are full, except for the transmitter identifying codes for one specific type of the plurality of transmitters. In the preferred embodiment, the specific type of transmitter is a wall station transmitter (42) with more than one function button. The different types of transmitters may be provided with corresponding levels of overwrite priority.

摘要： A door operator for moving a door includes a motor for moving the door between opened and closed positions, an operator for controlling the operation of the motor, and a switch, such as a wired wall station or a remote transmitter, for enabling the operator to control operation of the motor. Pushing and releasing the switch results in the operator allowing the motor to apply a normal range of torque values, and wherein pushing and holding the switch results in the operator allowing the motor to apply a broader-than-normal range of torque values. An external safety device coupled to the operator may be used with the operator. If the external safety device is enabled and the door is closing, the motor allows application of a higher-than-normal range of torque values. The door operator may also take corrective action if excessive door speed is detected. But, this corrective action can be overridden if the switch is held closed for a predetermined time.

摘要： A barrier operator is configured to learn and receive disparate wireless transmission signals to control movement of a barrier. The operator includes a receiver core circuit adapted to receive wireless transmission signals containing known and unknown formatted data words. A microcontroller is adapted to determine a fixed code portion of the unknown formatted data words. The microcontroller is also associated with a memory unit and connected to the receiver core circuit for storing in the memory unit the known formatted data words and the unknown formatted data words if the fixed code portion can be determined when the microcontroller is in a learn mode. The receiver core circuit may also scan only frequencies associated with learn codes, pre-selected frequencies, and incremental frequencies within a predetermined range of frequencies.

The operator includes a controller for comparing radio frequency transmissions received with stored serial numbers so that the controller can move the barrier when a radio frequency transmission matches any one of the stored serial numbers. The transmitter includes a housing that carries an encoder. A function button is carried by the housing, wherein actuation of the button generates in a first non-standard way a new serial number that can be learned by the controller to allow the modifiable transmitter to move the barrier by emitting the radio frequency transmission. A second non-standard way, which can only be implemented after use of the first non-standard way, may also be used to generate a new serial number. A restricted access button may also be activated to generate a new serial number.

摘要： A system for moving a barrier between limit positions, includes an operator motor assembly mounted proximate to the barrier, wherein at least a portion of the motor assembly is movable between an operating position and a locking position with the motor assembly blocking movement of the barrier. A bias assembly biases the motor assembly in the operating position and allows the motor assembly to move toward the locking position when either a predetermined force overcomes a biasing force or when the barrier is moved to a closed limit position or when forced entry is imposed on the barrier. The biasing force may be adjusted by moving posts on the motor assembly that are engaged by the bias assembly. A disengagement feature may also be provided that allows pivotable movement of the motor assembly even when in a locking position. And the pivoting motor assembly may be used as a secondary entrapment input to an operator controller.
