    • The present invention relates to a composite powder consisting of infrared-blocking particles and ultraviolet-blocking particles coated on surfaces of the infrared-blocking particles, and to a cosmetic composition using the composite powder. According to the present invention, since the infrared-blocking and the ultraviolet-blocking particles are used together to form the composite powder, infrared and ultraviolet rays can be blocked at the same time and a boosting effect of the sun protection factor (SPF) and protection grade of ultraviolet A (PA) can be obtained. Therefore, the skin damage caused by sunlight can be minimized when the composite powder is applied to cosmetics or the like. Particularly, the present invention does not utilize a composite powder in which infrared-blocking particles and ultraviolet-blocking particles are simply mixed, but utilizes the composite powder formed by coating the ultraviolet-blocking particles on surfaces of the infrared-blocking particles such that the small-sized ultraviolet-blocking particles are coated on the surface of the infrared-blocking particles and firmly fixed thereto. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the ultraviolet-blocking particles from agglomerating, to therefore prevent deterioration in the uniformity in adhering to the skin and reduced ultraviolet-blocking effects due to particle agglomeration.
