    • A dual-parameter optical sensor having: a fiber optic cable; a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) section provided on the fiber optic cable; and a sleeve affixed to the fiber optic cable such that the sleeve encloses a predetermined portion of the FBG section, wherein the sleeve has a different thermal expansion co-efficient than the fiber optic cable. A method for manufacturing the dual-parameter optical sensor including selecting a fiber optic cable having a predetermined thermal expansion coefficient; forming a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) section on the fiber optic cable; selecting a sleeve having a predetermined thermal expansion co-efficient that is different from the thermal expansion co-efficient of the fiber optical cable; selecting a predetermined portion of the FBG section to be enclosed by the sleeve; and joining the fiber optic cable to the sleeve such that the sleeve encloses the selected predetermined portion of the FBG section.

    • An injection mold includes a mold base defined with a sliding slot, a mold core detachably mounted in the mold base, and a plurality of securing devices. The mold base includes an upper mold base and a lower mold base. The mold core includes an upper mold core and a lower mold core detachably connected with the upper mold core. The mold core defines a slider. The slider slides in the sliding slot of the mold base to move the mold core in or out of the mold base. The upper mold core defines a first securing groove, and the lower mold core defines a second securing groove. The securing devices are mounted in the upper mold base and the lower mold base. The securing devices secure the first and the second securing grooves, allowing the mold core to attach to the mold base.

    • An exemplary battery cover latching mechanism for latching a battery cover to a rear cover, includes a rod, a suction cup, an elastic element and a sliding key. The rod has a first end and a second end, is hinged to the rear cover, and includes a first positioning slot and a second positioning slot. The suction cup is mounted at the first end of the rod. The elastic element is mounted on the second end of the rod and resisting the rear cover. The sliding key is slidably mounted to the rear cover. When the sliding key latches with the first positioning slot, the suction cup sucks the battery cover to the rear cover; when the sliding key slides out of the first positioning slot to the second positioning slot, the rod rotates relative to the rear cover to release the battery cover.
