    • An exemplary liquid crystal display (200) includes a liquid crystal panel (210) having a first substrate (212), a second substrate (214), a liquid crystal layer (213) sandwiched between the first and second substrates, and a transparent conductive layer (215) disposed at an outer surface of the second substrate; a backlight module (230) disposed adjacent to an outer surface of the liquid crystal display panel; and a frame (250). The frame includes at least one connecting portion (252) electrically connecting to a peripheral edge portion of the transparent conductive layer. The frame and the transparent conductive layer cooperatively forming a substantially closed space containing the backlight module, so as to shield the liquid crystal panel form any electromagnetic interference may be generated by the backlight module including the lamps.

    • An exemplary liquid crystal display (2) includes a liquid crystal panel (20) and a data driving circuit (212). The liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate (22), a second substrate (23) parallel to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer (24) interposed between the first and second substrates, and a common electrode layer (221) provided on first substrate. The second substrate includes a plurality of data lines (242). The data driving circuit includes a main circuit (213). The main circuit is connected with the common electrode layer and the data lines. The main circuit is configured to receive a brightness signal and a display signal, output a common voltage corresponding to the brightness signal to the common electrode layer, and output a gradation voltage corresponding to the brightness signal and the display signal to the data lines.

    • An exemplary liquid crystal display panel (20) includes a first substrate (22), a second substrate (21) opposite to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer (23) between the first and second substrates, an electrode layer (24) between the liquid crystal layer and the second substrate. The electrode layer includes a plurality of reflection portions (241) and transmission portions (242). A color filter (25) is disposed between the electrode layer and the second substrate. When the liquid crystal display panel is used in a reflection mode, ambient light beams need not pass through the color filter. This decreases the loss of light beams and increases the efficiency of utilization of light beams. Moreover, in the reflection mode, images are displayed in black and white, which can improve visibility, especially in an environment of strong ambient light.

    • A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the first and second substrate. One of the substrates (3) includes a first metal layer (31), an insulative layer (32), and a second metal layer (33) disposed in that order. The first metal layer has an electric potential lower than that of the second metal layer. The first metal layer, the insulative layer, and the second metal layer cooperatively form a filter capacitor. With this configuration, the filter capacitor filters the electrical current passed through the second metal layer. Thus, noise induced by electromagnetic interference is filtrated, which enables the internal signal transmission of the liquid crystal display device to be more reliable.
