    • An inclination/vibration detecting switch comprises a first electrode (11), a second electrode (13) mounted to said first electrode and having a projection (13A) formed thereon, and an insulating member (12) mounted to insulate said first and second electrodes from each other. A conductive movable member (15) is contained within a housing which is comprised of said first and second electrodes (11, 13) and said insulating member (12) . The projection (13A) formed on the second electrode (13) has a concave surface (13A1) upon which the conductive movable member (15) rests in a normal OFF state of the switch. If a vertical or horizontal vibration is applied to the switch or the switch is inclined or tilted, the conductive movable member (15) is brought into contact with the first electrode (11) so that the switch is turned ON, whereby the inclination or the vibration can be detected.

When an inclination/ vibration switch concerned 10 is at a standstill vertically, the moving member 15 contacts only this electrode 13 and not the first electrode 11 which is insulated with an insulating member 12, so that the Off condition is generated. When vibration is applied to the switch 10 or it is inclined, the moving meer 15 makes movement to result in touching also with the first electrode 11, so that the On condition is generated and it senses the vibrations or inclination. Because the electrodes 11, 13 are in a columnar shape, inclination and vibration in all directions can be sensed.
