    • Calcium cyanamide is produced by fluidizing calcium carbonate in a stream of gas comprising ammonia at a temperature of for example 400-850 DEG C. The temperature may be lower if the calcium carbonate is in very finely divided form. The water vapour produced by the reaction is removed as quickly as possible and the partial pressure thereof in the reaction zone maintained as low as possible, i.e. by employing rapid gas flow and an ammonia gas stream diluted with inert gas, for example carbon dioxide, flue gas, electric furnace waste gas, hydrogen or nitrogen. These gases also inhibit ammonia decomposition. Solid ammonia decomposition inhibitors can be mixed with the calcium carbonate, for example silica gel, active carbon, alumina or calcium sulphide. The reaction may be effected in and around pipes coated with an ammonia decomposition inhibitor, e.g. pure aluminium or fused or powdered aluminium oxide. A number of fluidized beds arranged in series may be employed. A gas flow of at least 2 cm./sec. and a proportion of ammonia in the gas of below 50 per cent may be employed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting by which even one small flower can be almost perpendicularly erected in a vase to improve appearance by using the metal fitting even to one flower even when cut flowers are presented or wild flowers are picked up and the number is small so that the flower inclines and dangles even in a vase on hand.
      SOLUTION: The metal fitting can be prepared in various sizes and shapes. A set of some kinds may be usefully sold because the production cost is not high.

    • A communication system capable of preventing a lost transmitter from being used by an unauthorized user for a bad purpose, and also capable of easily enabling the lost transmitter to be used again when it is found. The communication system comprises: a transmitter for transmitting a transmission code containing at least an identification code uniquely assigned to the transmitter; and a receiver comprising: an identification code memory capable of storing a received identification code; a signal processing unit which compares the received identification code with an identification code stored in the identification code memory and outputs a control signal to a part to be controlled if the comparison shows that both the identification codes are identical to each other; and a mode controller for switching the operation mode of the signal processing unit from a normal mode to a control signal disable mode wherein in the normal mode the control signal is allowed to be output whereas the control signal is prohibited to be output in the control signal disable mode.

    • A transmission and reception system including a transmitter for transmitting a signal including identification (security) information and function information, and a receiver for receiving and decoding the signal and for executing the operation defined by the function information upon verification of the identification information. The transmitter divides one or more of the identification information and the function information into two or more bit groups, and transmits these bit groups such that identification information bit groups are separated by function information and function information bit groups are separated by identification information. In one embodiment, the intermixed function and identification bit groups are transmitted without a time gap, and in another embodiment the function bit groups and the identification bit groups are arranged in groups containing one or more function information bit groups and one or more identification information bit groups, these groups then being transmitted with a time gap therebetween. The receiver includes information necessary for recombining the identification information and the function information for performing verification of the identification information and execution of the operation defined by the function information. In a further embodiment the identification information includes both fixed and variable codes, the variable code being changed after each transmission.
