In this manner, processing is performed promptly as the ink is entered, and the processing system and method can effectively keep up with the user. This prevents long processing delays, because the systems and methods need not first process a large volume of ink data present after the user has entered has completely filled a page with ink.

摘要： In the described embodiment, methods and systems for processing facial image data for use in animation are described. In one embodiment, a system is provided that illuminates a face with illumination that is sufficient to enable the simultaneous capture of both structure data, e.g. a range or depth map, and reflectance properties, e.g. the diffuse reflectance of a subject's face. This captured information can then be used for various facial animation operations, among which are included expression recognition and expression transformation.

摘要： A method of reconciling a first data structure with a second data structure that is a subsequently modified version of the first data structure. Initially, each node in the first data structure for which a change has been made to a corresponding node in the second data structure is accessed. For each accessed node, a determination is made as to whether the change made to the corresponding node in the second data structure creates a collision with the first data structure. If the change made to the corresponding node in the second data structure does not create a collision with the first data structure, then the change is made to the accessed node in the first data structure.

Ink strokes are divided into segments and the segments analyzed employing a relative angular distance histogram. The histogram analysis yields stable, incremental, and discriminating featurization results. Neural networks may also be employed along with the histogram analysis to determine complete shapes from partial shape entries and autocomplete suggestions provided to users for conversion of the shape into a known object.
