    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple synthetic method of a carbamate and its analogs.
      SOLUTION: In this synthetic method of carbamate, three components; a component having a carboxyl group, a component having a hydroxyl group, and a diphenylphosphoryl azide, are reacted under a basic condition via Curtius rearrangement reaction to form a carbamate bond. To be concrete, a saccharic carboxylic acid with its hydroxyl group protected and a sugar with its hydroxyl groups other than that to form a carbamate bond are protected, etc. are reacted in the presence of diphenylphosphoryl azide, and a saccharide having the aimed carbamate bond is obtained.
