    • An energy producing magnetic converter is provided that outputs both electrical and mechanical energy. The converter includes a controller assembly rotatably secured between a plurality of field coil assemblies and a plurality of magnets. During a rotation of the controller assembly between the plurality of field coil assemblies and the plurality of magnets, electric current is generated in wire coils of the field coil assemblies, and counter-magnetic fields are induced around the wire coils. A pole of each counter-magnetic field is formed on the controller assembly, and counterforce present between magnetic fields of the plurality of magnets and the counter-magnetic fields cause and maintain forward rotational motion in the energy producing magnetic converter. Accordingly, because the forward rotational motion is maintained in the presence of sufficient counterforce, the magnetic converter outputs torque in addition to the electric current, thereby increasing an efficiency of the magnetic converter.

    • A universal joint comprises a driving gear and a driven gear each provided with a respective crown gear cluster, and a slotted casing confining the driving gear and the driven gear in meshing engagement. The casing comprises a slot through which the driven gear projects and along which the driven gear may be moved angularly from a first position in which the driving gear and driven gear are in-line, and a second position in which the driving gear and driven gear are substantially at right angles to one another. A guide element is captive on the driven gear and disposed within the casing, and rides along a channel formed in the casing. The guide element guides the driven gear in movement from the first position to the second position.

    • A vehicle seat suspension has lower and upper housings with the upper housing adapted to support the seat and having longitudinally extending side tracks. A linkage assembly having a plurality of links connects the lower and upper housing. A plurality of side rollers are mounted to the links and ride in the side tracks, each rotating on a horizontally extending axis. Each of the side rollers has an outer conical bearing surface and each of the side tracks has an angled outside wall. The outer conical bearing surface of each side roller and the angled outside wall of each side track have an angle relative to vertical to facilitate their rolling engagement. The side rollers engage the longitudinal tracks at spaced locations to stabilize the upper housing in a direction generally perpendicular to its fore and aft travel path.

    • An adjustable vehicle seat suspension system comprising a support assembly, a regulating system, and a control system. In an exemplary embodiment, the control system, which can comprise a hardware control for setting-selection by a human operator, directs the regulating system to adjust the support assembly as needed. Based on the human operator's chosen settings, the regulating system, in conjunction with the support assembly, can emulate a passive, semi-active, or active suspension. Preferably, the regulating system comprises a rotary motor, which drives the support assembly.
