    • An optical positional information detection apparatus for detecting a position indicated by a pointer on a display surface. The optical positional information detection apparatus includes an imaging unit that captures an image of one or more pointers situated within a predetermined distance from the display surface; an image obtaining unit that obtains a first image captured by the imaging unit and a second image captured by the imaging unit; a movement distance calculation unit that uses a first feature amount based on the first image in which first pointers are captured and a second feature amount based on the second image in which second pointers are captured so that the movement distance calculation unit calculates a movement distance from the first pointers to the second pointers; and an association unit that associates the second pointers with the first pointers based on a limitation on the movement distance.

    • A cover member holds an optical scanning device and is supported on A main body in such a manner as to be pivotable between an open position and a closed position. The optical scanning device has a shutter member, a housing, and a dustproof member. The main body has a contact member which is capable of coming into contact with the shutter member through an opening. The contact member causes the shutter member to be displaced between an optical path closing position and an optical path opening position. The shutter member includes a closing portion which closes the opening when the shutter member assumes the optical path closing position. The dustproof member is disposed to extend around the opening on the outside and is configured to press against an entire periphery of the contact member when the cover member assumes the closed position.

    • An acceleration sensor includes: a piezoelectric vibration device; an oscillation circuit; and a detection circuit, wherein the piezoelectric vibration device includes a substrate, an insulation layer formed above the substrate, a vibration section forming layer formed above the insulation layer, a vibration section formed in a cantilever shape in a first opening section that penetrates the vibration section forming layer and having a base section affixed to the vibration section forming layer and two beam sections extending from the base section, a second opening section that penetrates the insulation layer and formed below the first opening section and the vibration section, and a piezoelectric element section formed on each of the beam sections; the oscillation circuit vibrates the piezoelectric vibration device at a resonance frequency; and the detection circuit detects a change in the frequency of vibrations of the piezoelectric vibration device which is caused by an acceleration applied in a direction in which the beam sections extend, and outputs a signal corresponding to the acceleration based on the change in the frequency.
