    • An array panel is provided. The array panel includes a substrate, a common electrode, and pixel structures. Each pixel structure includes a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a shield. The first pixel electrode has a central portion, first branches that connect to the central portion, and a connecting portion. The shield overlaps with at least the central portion of the first pixel electrode. The connecting portion connects the ends of at least two of the first branches. The central portion connects perpendicularly with one of the first branches; this branch overlaps with at least part of the common electrode so that the width of this branch is greater than or equal to that of the common electrode. The second pixel electrode, adjacent to the first pixel electrode, comprises a central portion and second branches that connect to the central portion.

    • An automated cephalogram image analysis method is disclosed. In this method, a step is first performed for building a reference database in which a set of tracing feature curve models respectively representing a set of reference cephalometric patterns are established based on a set of tracing records. Then, a step of pattern comparison and analysis is performed. In this step, at least one cephalogram is first input, and then a step is performed for comparing the image of the cephalogram with the tracing feature curve models, thereby selecting at least one cephalometric pattern and at least one feature curve model belonging to the cephalometric pattern from the reference cephalometric patterns and the tracing feature curve models. Thereafter, the feature curve model is fitted to the image of the cephalogram so as to obtain at least one tracing of the at least one cephalogram.

    • An output stream of the de-interlaced image frames is produced from an incoming stream of interlaced image fields, where the interlaced image fields include complementary pairs of fields, which together comprise a frame. An input buffer includes field buffers storing the incoming stream of interlaced image fields. Field match detection logic is coupled to the input buffer, and detects matching fields in field buffers storing fields from the incoming stream separated by one other field. De-interlace logic is coupled to the input buffer and reads complementary pairs of fields from the input buffer and outputs de-interlaced frames. Control logic causes the current field from one of the field buffers to be paired with a complementary field selected from one of two fields stored in adjacent field buffers. The control logic sets a mode for the de-interlace sequence, including a standard mode and a 3:2 pulldown mode.

    • A method for manufacturing an optical compensated bend nematic liquid crystal display panel and a structure thereof are described. A surface of a first glass substrate having a plurality of first spacers disposed thereon, wherein a first alignment layer is formed on the surface of the first glass substrate, is provided first in this method. Then, a mixture consisting essentially of a plurality of liquid crystal molecules and a plurality of monomers with long side chains, of which carbon number is over 7, is coated on the surface of the first glass substrate. Thereafter, the mixture is cured by UV irradiation and the monomers are transferred into polymers to form an isolation layer on top of the mixture. After a second glass substrate having a plurality of second spacers disposed thereon and a second alignment layer formed thereon is provided, the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate are aligned and assembled.
