    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a life preserver capable of easily finding a diver even if a wave in the sea is high when divers or fishers are asking for relief and attaining high portability. SOLUTION: This life preserver 1 has an extendable fulcrum 2, a flag body 3 attached at an upper edge portion of the fulcrum 2, a flaunting piece 4 formed by material which reflects radar wave and fixed at the flag body 3, a weight 5 attached at a lower edge portion of the fulcrum 2, and a floating body 6 which is attached at the fulcrum 2 on an upper side of the weight 5. When the fulcrum 2 is extended, the flag body 3 attached at the upper edge portion of the fulcrum 2 is flaunted by wind and the flaunting piece 4 also is flaunted to reflect the radar wave. The fulcrum 2 is constituted of a plurality of insertion type hollow poles, and made extendable by air introduced in an inner portion of the hollow poles to extend the fulcrum 2 by using an air cylinder. If the flaunting piece 4 is made in a flat rectangular shape, and an edge portion 4b which is farther from the fulcrum 2 is stuck on a surface of the flag body 3, the flaunting piece 4 is flaunted in a vertical direction to the surface of the flag body 3 when the flag body 3 is flaunted by the wind, thus facilitating to reflect the radar wave.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sandals emitting light at night by storing sunlight in the sandals to contribute to the safety of conventional molded sandals.SOLUTION: A place where the conventional molded sandals are put cannot always be confirmed in a dark room or at night. Further, when a pedestrian wearing the sandals walks at night, it is assumed that the presence and position of the pedestrian cannot always be confirmed by an automobile driver or a bicycle rider, which may lead to an accident. In order to further contribute to the safety, the molded sandals are therefore manufactured from resin containing a light storage material so that the sandals can emit light by storing sunlight.

      SOLUTION: The life preserver 1 comprises a hollow support column 2 divided into a plurality of portions 2A to 2I; an elastic string-shaped member 3 continuously inserted into inside of each of the plurality of divided portions 2A to 2I of the support column 2 and connecting the divided portions 2A to 2I with each other to form the one support column 2; and a flag body 4 fitted to end parts of the one support column 2 formed by connecting the divided portions 2A to 2I by the elastic string-shaped member 3. When opposing end parts of the divided portions 2A to 2I are engaged with each other, the divided portions 2A to 2I form the one support column 2 as a whole. When engagement of the opposing end parts of the divided portions 2A to 2I is released, each of the divided portions 2A to 2I can be bent. When the life preserver 1 is taken out of a storage bag 6 etc., the elastic string-shaped member 3 applies elastic force to the divided portions 2A to 2I and the opposing end parts of the divided portions 2A to 2I can be easily engaged with each other, to form the one support column 2.

    • A casting nozzle suited to manufacture a casting material of pure magnesium or magnesium alloy is provided. A nozzle 1 is utilized to manufacture a casting material 100 by supplying molten metal to a portion between rolls 10 which become a casting die, and arranged so that a pouring port 4 is located between a pair of rolls 10 opposed to other. This nozzle 1 includes a main body 1a formed of oxide material such as alumina, and a coating layer 3 which is provided on the inner surface of the main body 1a which comes into contact the molten metal, and formed of material that does not include oxygen substantially. Since the main body 1a does not come into direct contact with the molten metal due to the coating layer 3, it is possible to prevent oxygen included in the main body 1a from reacting with the molten metal. Further, in the nozzle 1, a casting die contact portion 2 which comes into contact with the rollers 10 is formed of thermal insulation material, whereby it is prevented that the molten metal in the nozzle 1 is cooled through the casting die contact portion 2 by the rollers 10.

    • A conductor includes elemental wires made from an aluminum alloy containing Si whose content is 0.3-1.2 mass %, Mg whose content makes an Mg/Si weight ratio in a range from 0.8 to 1.8, and a remainder essentially including Al and an unavoidable impurity. The conductor has tensile strength of 240 MPa or more, breaking elongation of 10% or more, impact absorption energy of 8 J/m or more, and electrical conductivity of 40% IACS or more. The production method includes the step of preparing a strand by bunching elemental wires with the above composition, and the step of subjecting the wire to solution treatment, quenching, and aging heat treatment. Solution treatment temperature is 500-580° C., and aging heat treatment temperature is 150-220° C. Heating in solution treatment is high frequency induction heating.
