摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a used instrument which can prevent the residual amount of consumable articles from being unfairly rewritten without using encryption, and can prevent the consumable articles from being used unfairly.SOLUTION: The consumable article (200) is removable from the used instrument (100) and the consumable article (200) includes a memory (201). The memory (201) includes a first recording region the records rewritably the residual amount of the consumable article (200), and a plurality of second recording regions for specifying the condition of the residual amount of the consumable article (200) recorded in the first recording region. The instrument (100) to be used reads out the residual amount of the consumable article (200) recorded in the first recording region, and determines whether the residual amount of the consumable article (200) read out is positioned between the second recording region in which writing is under a prohibited condition and the second recording region in which writing is under an allowable condition, and when the residual amount of the consumable article (200) is positioned between them, it is determined that the consumable article (200) is a regular article, and when the residual amount of the consumable article (200) is not positioned between them, it is determined that the consumable article (200) is an unfair article.
