Alignment features provided on the hosel 258 side and the shaft sleeve 252 side perform dual angle adjustment to provide discrete orientations of the shaft 254 to the club head 260.

Since a material to be employed for high-density weighting cannot be easily welded to a titanium material currently used for a metal wood type golf club head, a specific mechanical lock is employed to adhere the high-density weight to the golf club head 400 in a newly creative mount method. In a mechanical lock mechanism, a projecting extension part 407 extending from an inner surface of the weight and a lock nut 408 are engaged mutually by a screw groove.
