    • The present disclosure discloses a method and network device for measuring wireless link quality. The disclosed network device retrieves a plurality of packet transmission data corresponding to a plurality of transmission rates at which packets are transmitted over a wireless link between two wireless nodes in a wireless network. The network device also determines a wireless link quality metric value corresponding to the wireless link at least based on at least an average throughput associated with the plurality of transmission rates. The wireless link quality metric value can be further based on a maximum throughput corresponding to a hardware component in at least one of the two wireless nodes. The wireless link quality metric value can be used in monitoring or managing the wireless network.

    • Social networking systems create representations of events associated with deals and populate attributes of the event based on information associated with the deal. Examples of attributes populated based on the deal include location for the event, potential participants for the event, or time for the event. The deal can be a social deal that is activated by participation of multiple users of the social networking system. The social networking system synchronizes potential or actual participants for the event with potential or actual participants of the social deal. The social networking system identifies events represented in the social networking system that are associated with the deal and suggests possible interactions with the entities to users associated with the deal. For example, the social networking system may request the user to become member of a social group associated with the deal, or purchase another deal associated with the current deal.

    • A programmable logic structure is disclosed employing input logic routing cell (ILRC) multiplexers and output logic routing cell (OLRC) multiplexers for making local connections between dedicated logic cells. In a simple programmable logic structure, a dedicated logic cell (DLC) is implemented in a programmable logic structure comprising multiple ILRC multiplexers for port A and multiple OLRC multiplexers for port B. In a multi-level programmable logic structure, multiple columns of dedicated logic cells is designed with columns of dedicated local cells adjacent to each other where each DLC column is used to implement a particular logic function. In a first embodiment, local connections can be made between dedicated logic cells, e.g. an OLRC in a first DLC at level L making local point-to-point connections to an ILRC in a second DLC at level L+1. In a second embodiment, local connections can be made from any other dedicated logic cells, whether positioned horizontally or vertically relative to a relative point or multiplexer, and from any offset from a current logic and routing cell (LRC). In a third embodiment, local connections can be made by stitching a first OLRC to a second OLRC (for connecting to an ILRC), which allows lines from other columns or levels of DLC to reach an ILRC for a fast local interconnect.
