    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling battery of an electronic device that can prolong the lifetime of the battery.
      SOLUTION: The method for controlling battery of the electronic device that detects the battery 4 on the electronic device for controlling it includes steps such that first, a processing unit 8 in the electronic device reads a residual quantity and temperature of the battery 4; next, the processing unit 8 determines whether the residual quantity of the battery 4 is higher than a set residual quantity value and whether the temperature of the battery 4 is higher than a set temperature value; and last, the processing unit 8 generates a signal, when the residual quantity of the battery 4 is higher than the set residual quantity value, and the unit 8 makes the temperature of the battery 4 set higher than the set temperature value, to control the battery 4 so that electric discharging is induced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rechargeable battery control method of an electronic device, in which a rechargeable battery is searched on an electronic device, a charger unit on the electronic device is controlled, and a charging voltage and a charging current are sent to the rechargeable battery.       SOLUTION: In the method for delaying aging of a battery disposed in a charging system, the charging system detects whether temperature of the battery during charging has raised to a set temperature, and decreases the temperature at a predetermined lowering rate, by adjusting a charging voltage and a charging current of the charging system, when the charging system detects that the temperature of the battery during charging has raised to the set temperature. In the method for delaying aging of a battery, the temperature of the battery is automatically detected by the charging system, the charging current and the charging voltage are adjusted based on the temperature, and thereby aging of the battery can be delayed, and easy operation and reduced cost are attained.
