摘要： A preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a foot assembly for a power hand tool such as a jigsaw that has an angularly adjustable support foot with a generally flat bottom, at least two spaced apart supports connected to the support foot, an elongated rod extends through apertures in the supports in a configuration that permits limited sliding movement and the angular adjusting movement of the support foot relative to the hand tool, a retainer member associated with the hand tool that selectively engages one of the supports to lock the support foot at predetermined angular positions, and a spring biases the retainer member toward engagement with the support. A second embodiment includes a removable transparent plate that attaches to the support foot and has a faux laser line for a cutting aid.

When the TEFLON® AF supporting surface is used to support the gel, or other mostly aqueous, fluorescent sample, the surface becomes a planar, aqueous core waveguide which traps the excitation light thereby increasing the efficiency of excitation.

摘要： A gel excitation apparatus for exciting a gel that includes a container for holding an aqueous solution within which the gel can be positioned, at least one light source disposed whereas the light path is perpendicular to the optical axis, the container for irradiating the gel with radiation within at least a first wavelength band, the first wavelength band selected to excite the gel to cause the gel to emit radiation into said aqueous solution. The aqueous core of the apparatus has a low refractive index, thus retaining the first wavelength band selected within said aqueous core to excite the gel. Thus, the aqueous core functions not only to increase the efficiency of excitation, but also increases the contrast between excitation light and sample emission light by retaining the light within said aqueous core.

摘要： A bio-molecule analyzer includes an array of addressable light sources, a photoconductive layer of material having a layer of electrically conductive material on a surface thereof mounted on the array of addressable light sources, and a plurality of test sites on an opposing surface of the photoconductive layer of material defined by the plurality of light sources. A solution containing a plurality of bio-molecules is positioned in electrical contact with the plurality of test sites. An electrical potential is connected between the solution and the layer of electrically conductive material, whereby the array of addressable light sources emit beams of light through a plurality of portions of the photoconductive layer of material to define the test sites and complete electrical circuits between the layer of electrically conductive material and the solution.

摘要： A method and apparatus for digitizing multiple data streams having different clocks spreads an error due to clock drift is spread across many clock cycles in extremely small amounts. To combine two data streams, the method interpolates one or more samples between existing samples of one of the two data streams and then adjusts a number of samples of said one of the two data streams to maintain balance in a downstream synchronizing buffer. This occurs prior to combining the two data streams. The adjusting may be performed by adding or decimating samples from the interpolated samples. To combine two asynchronous data streams having clocks offset in frequency, first, a first data stream is clocked into and out of a first buffer using a first clock associated with the first data stream. Second, a second data stream is clocked into a second buffer using a second clock associated with the second data stream and clocking the second data stream out of the second buffer using the first clock. Third, samples are interpolated into and decimated from samples of the second data stream prior to clocking the second data stream into the second buffer based on an overflow or underflow of the second buffer. Finally, the outputs of the first and second buffers are combined.
