    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a tube to be connected with a connecting member of a piece of equipment such as a liquid drop discharge head by applying no excessive force to the connecting member, and prevent the equipment from being damaged.
      SOLUTION: The joint structure 70 including a tube connecting pipe 72 and the connecting member 74 is provided at a connecting portion between the tube 56 to which ink is supplied and a supply port 66 of an ink jet record head. A tubular concaved portion 80 is arranged at the tip of the tube connecting pipe 72. A projecting pipe 86 inserted in the concaved portion 80 is provided on the connecting member 74. The projecting pipe 86 includes a communication hole 86A through which the ink passes. A plurality of o-rings 88, 90 is fitted on the periphery of the projecting pipe 86. Engagement pieces 96 having claws 96A are provided at positions facing the projecting pipe 86. A groove 82 with which the claws 96A are engaged when the projecting pipe 86 is inserted in the concaved portion 80 is formed on the outer peripheral wall of the concaved portion 80.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a distortion or a warpage of a metallic heat sink due to heating by adequately radiating the heat generated on an inkjet recording head and to prevent increase in vibration and weight of the inkjet recording head from being increased.
      SOLUTION: An inkjet head cartridge 30 is so constituted that the inkjet recording head 38 and an ink tank 34 are integrally formed. A recording head chip 32 for ejecting ink and the metallic heat sink 36 for bearing the recording head chip 32 are provided on the recording head 38. The heat sink 36 is made of an alloy including magnesium and can efficiently radiate the heat generated on the recording head chip 32. It is preferable to adhere a ceramic sheet having a radiating property to the surface of the heat sink 36. As a result, it is possible to reduce a distortion or a warpage of the heat sink 36 due to the heat and to reduce the weight thereof. A vibration of the recording head chip 32 can be reduced so that a high quality image can be recorded.

      SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises a removing unit 200. After ink supply operation to a sub-ink tank 30, the removing unit 200 removes residual ink X at an ink supply opening 36 thus preventing a trouble. More specifically, the removing unit 200 is advanced to an ink jet recording head 32 by a moving mechanism and the adhering part 206A of a removing cap 206 adheres to the front part 150A of an ink supply section 150 thus covering the ink supply opening 36. When a roller pump is driven under that state, a negative pressure is generated in the space formed by the removing cap 206 and the front part 150A of an ink supply section. Consequently, residual ink X is sucked and removed by the removing cap 206 and collected in a waste ink tank.

      SOLUTION: An ink discharge face of an inkjet recording head chip 12 has the coat 32 formed because an applied processing liquid is solidified. At the same time, the processing liquid is adhered also to an airtight holding member 10, and therefore the unnecessary coat 34 is formed at the airtight holding member 10 when the processing liquid 30 is solidified. The coat 34 of the airtight holding member 10 is rubbed by a brush 54 in an oblique line arrow direction to be removed by a mechanical friction force. At the same time, a solvent 50 in which the coat is soluble is sprayed by a spray device 52 to the coat 34 of the airtight holding member 10. The spray device 52 is moved as shown by the oblique line arrow, whereby the coat 34 is dissolved and washed away. In the meantime, the solvent 50 is sucked and removed as shown by a black arrow by an aspirator 56. Thus the coat 34 is dissolved from the airtight holding member 10, and cleaned and removed.

      SOLUTION: A sticking face 31 to which a filmlike face tape 33 is stuck is provided in the periphery of an ink discharge element 32. A channel 35 is formed in the position near the outside edge of the sticking face 31 so as to surround the entire periphery of the ink discharge element 32. An adhesive agent B of a prescribed amount is applied to the sticking face 31 and the face tape 33 is stuck from above. At that time, a surplus adhesive agent B enters the channel 35 and is prevented from protruding of the face tape 33. Provision of the channel 35 prevents both poor adhesion of the face tape 33 and separation of the face tape 33 by the contact with a sheet during printing.
