    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional tendon terminator for a robot hand, which is small enough to be properly fitted into a very narrow space and strong enough to endure various applications. SOLUTION: The bidirectional tendon terminator specially applied for terminating a tendon operating fingers of an robot arm includes cylindrical members having an internal channel through which a single consecutive tendon passes. The internal channel of the tendon terminator occupies a wide area. A sphere is placed in tendon fibers and the tendon is extended thereby. The sphere is positioned in a more spacious area of the channel. Tendon pulling action thereby opens or closes the fingers of the robot arm according to a tendon pulling direction. In a certain specific embodiment, the cylindrical members comprise two mutually assembled cylindrical members, the sphere is positioned in the channel, and the cylindrical members are formed over the entire circumference.
