摘要： A backrest for a chair, particularly a drum performance chair, which backrest can be adjusted both in height and in tilt angle with respect to the seat. The backrest has two upright arms. A base body is fixed to the chair seat. The base body has an upstanding part. A holder is supported on the upstanding part of the base body. The holder includes an arm sliding part which engage the backrest arms. The arm holder is pivotable about an axis. A holding plate is screw tightened selectively for holding the arms of the backrest at the selected height or loosened to permit the arms of the backrest to be changed in height. A front and back adjusting screw extending from the holder has a contact part that engages the base body. The degree of tightening of the adjusting screw with respect to the holder determines the tilt angle of the holder and the backrest.

摘要： A tiltable tripod stand includes a main post to be selectively tilted and three tripod legs having upper ends which are pivotally connected at the main post. One end of an articular arm is pivotally connected to each leg intermediate its ends and the other end of the arm is pivotally connected to the main post. Two related embodiments for tilting the stand are disclosed. In one, there are two upper holding members on the main post, one movable with respect to the other. One tripod leg is pivotally connected to one upper holding member and another leg is pivotally connected to the other upper holding member so that movement of the one with respect to the other changes the tilt angle of the leg and tilts the main post. In the other embodiment, there are two relatively movable lower holding members. The articular arm from one tripod leg is connected to one lower holding member while the articular arm from another leg is connected to the other lower holding member such that movement of the one lower holding member with respect to the other pivots the respective articular arms which changes the tilt angle of the respective legs which tilts the main post. In one embodiment, the legs are equally spaced around the main post. In another embodiment, the angle between the legs which the main post tilts away from is increased to improve stability.

摘要： A high hat stand for a pair of cymbals, including a support for a stationary cymbal and a vertically slidable coaxial operating rod for a cooperating movable cymbal. A spring returns the movable cymbal off the stationary one. A foot pedal operates the movable cymbal against the stationary cymbal. The connection between the foot pedal and the movable cymbal comprises a pair of rotary members, one connected to and movable by the foot pedal and the other connected to move the operating rod for the movable cymbal. The rotary members are attached to the same axis to rotate together. From the axis of rotation to its point of operative connection, the lever arm of the rotary member connected to the foot pedal is longer than the lever arm of the rotary member connected to the operating rod of the movable cymbal. Each rotary member is defined either by a lever or a sprocket. An additional swingable arm may be connected to the axis of the rotary members to enable the axis to swing with respect to the movable cymbal operating rod when the rotary member connected to the cymbal operating rod is a lever. This reduces the effect of lateral bias on the rod due to swinging of the lever as it rotates around its axis.

摘要： The tripod stand (10) for supporting a musical instrument has a main post (11) provided with an upper slide member (30) to which the upper ends of the three legs (21, 22, 23) of the tripod are hingedly connected. A respective articulated arm (26, 27, 28) connects each leg with the lower portion of the main post. One of the articulated arms (26) is longer than the others and is attached further up its associated leg (21) than the other articulated arms. Consequently, the downward movement of the slide (30) causes that leg (21) to move outward further from the main post and tilts the main post. Greater stability can be achieved by increasing the angle between the two legs that are opposite the leg having the one longer articulated arm.
