    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral stability control method and a lateral stability control unit therefor for preventing deviation in running of a vehicle and for preventing a traffic accident risk by controlling a rotation angle speed of the vehicle so as to reduce a rotation moment caused by lateral disturbance even in occurrence thereof.
      SOLUTION: A lateral stability control unit for stabling the behavior of the vehicle when the lateral disturbance (side wind) occurs in running includes a lateral disturbance sensor unit sensing the lateral disturbance; a target rotation angle speed computation unit calculating a steering angle of a driver and calculating a target rotation angle speed by using calculated steering angle of the driver and vehicle information with vehicle behavior information and vehicle item information included therein when the lateral disturbance is sensed; and a vehicle rotation angle speed control unit controlling the rotation angle speed of the vehicle so as to reduce the rotation moment caused by the lateral disturbance and making the controlled rotation angle speed of the vehicle converge at the calculated rotation angle speed of the vehicle at the calculated target rotation angle speed.
