摘要： Index tabs having a mechanism for alignment with an edge of a mounting sheet, and methods for making and using the same. Embodiments exemplary of the alignment mechanism include various stopper constructions, pocket constructions, and the like. For example, a pocket can be formed within an index tab, such that the pocket contains an opening at the bottom for receiving an edge of a mounting sheet. The edge of the mounting sheet becomes aligned with the index tab when it fully engages the top of the pocket, which acts as a stopper. After alignment is achieved, the index tab is adhered to the mounting sheet. Various shapes and materials that are beneficial in the new tab constructions are also disclosed.

摘要： A sheet divider may include a sheet stock having an edge and a tab. The tab may be disposed at the edge of the sheet stock and have an opening. The opening is configured to enable a label to be inserted into the tab from a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the edge of the sheet stock. For example, a label may be inserted into the tab from a direction of the sheet stock. In other words, a label may be inserted in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the edge of the sheet stock. The tab may include a projecting portion that extends beyond the edge of the sheet stock and that is free of openings. A pocket may be formed in the projecting portion to receive a label. In addition, the projecting portion may be curvilinear in shape. The labels may be relatively large so that a proximal portion extends out of the tab. The sheet stock may include retaining structure for retaining the corners of the proximal portion of the label against the sheet stock.
