摘要： An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device of the disclosure includes a cartridge having a chamber formed therein to store a liquid, a body coupled to the cartridge, and a controller. The cartridge includes a wick connected to the chamber and a heater configured to heat the wick. The controller monitors the temperature of the heater for a predetermined time when the body and the cartridge are coupled to each other, and determines whether the cartridge is a cartridge in use based on variation in the temperature of the heater for the predetermined time.

The heater is heated to a first temperature or higher when the usage is equal to or greater than a first reference and less than a second reference, and is heated to a second temperature or higher when the usage is equal to or greater than the second reference and less than a third reference.
