摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and provide a facial angle measuring device that measures a facial angle in several directions and that allows a pillow height appropriate to a measurer or oneself to be set and maintained, in order to relieve and solve the problems of a stiff shoulder, a headache, pain in a neck, a cervical vertebra, and a back, snoring, an apnea syndrome, and insomnia, that are caused by using an unsuitable pillow.SOLUTION: A facial angle measuring device is constituted by a structure having a U-shaped frame made of two spacing rods 2a and 2b and a connection rod 6, in which a measuring part 3a is suspended from support axes 8a and 8b disposed on the connection rod 6. The facial angle measuring device can be used by applying tips of the two spacing rods 2a and 2b to a forehead 9 and a chin 10 to measure a face inclination when lying down on his/her side (refer to Fig. 14) and set a pillow height so that a face, a cervical vertebra, and a back are parallel to a mattress. Then, the facial forward inclining angle can be measured when lying on his/her back (refer to Fig. 15). Alternatively, a pillow having optimal height and shape is easily set, confirmed, and maintained from a method in which a facial angle is measured when standing upright (refer to Fig. 16) to be used as the facial angle when lying on his/her back in order to set the pillow height.
