    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable elastomer which is perfectly degraded under the natural environment, compost condition or hydrolyzable condition in spite of not containing a food raw material as a base polymer, has the same softness and transparency as those of conventional elastomers obtained by adding plasticizers to polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl acetate, and can be used for biodegradable soft lures.
      SOLUTION: This method for producing a biodegradable elastomer having a hardness of ≤80 is characterized by cross-linking an aliphatic polyester which is an amorphous polymer having a glass transition temperature of ≤25°C or a crystal polymer having a melting point of ≤25°C, is obtained by polycondensing an aliphatic unsaturated polybasic acid or a mixture of the aliphatic unsaturated polybasic acid with an aliphatic polybasic acid as a polybasic acid with an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol, contains the aliphatic unsaturated polybasic acid as a polymer constituent, and has a weight-average mol. wt. of ≥15,000.
