    • A drawer locking device for locking a plurality of drawers has respective blocking devices for blocking movement of the drawers and a connector connecting the blocking devices such that movement of any of the blocking devices caused by opening of the respective drawer causes a corresponding movement of each remaining blocking device to respective positions in which opening of the respective drawers is blocked. A method of assembling the drawer locking device comprises connecting the blocking devices with a furniture item at respective reference positions provided on the furniture item and fixing the connector to the blocking devices when they are connected with the respective reference positions. This provides a drawer locking device in which the blocking devices are fixed to the connector at spaced positions determined by the reference positions. The drawer locking device can then be disconnected from the item of furniture for refitting in an operative position.

    • The disclosure is directed to a rope clamping device, which is made up of the following elements: a central bar, two threaded bolts, two grooved wheels, two large clamps, eight metal washers, and four nuts. The device allows a rope, chain, or cable to pass over a grooved wheel, wherein the rope is held securely when a clamp is released onto the grooved wheel. There is a second clamp and grooved wheel on the opposing side of the device. When both clamps have engaged the rope, chain or cable, the loop of rope, chain or cable is held securely. This is done to serve as an alternative to traditional knot tying in order to quickly and easily secure an object with a rope, chain or cable.

    • The invention relates to a method to analyze the condition of a functional fluid comprising: (1) obtaining a sample of the used fluid; (2) placing the sample of the fluid to a test medium; (3) reacting the fluid with an indicator in the test medium; (4) analyzing visually the results of the reactor resulting in the determination of the condition of the fluid. Further an apparatus for analyzing functional fluids is disclosed in the form of a test medium consisting of an absorbent or nonabsorbent material which has been treated with a chemical indicator, marker substance or a developer or detector reagent upon which a sample of the fluid to be tested is placed. The components in the treated test medium react with components in the test fluid providing a visual indication, for example a color change, to judge the condition, the presence of a marker substance or another parameter of the fluid. The functional fluid may be a lubricant, fuel or other functional fluid of innumerable sources, including internal combustion engines, turbines, transmissions, differentials, pumps, metalworking operations, cooling systems, etc, and be either organic solvent or aqueous based.
