    • A method, system, and computer program product for facilitating power instability in a central electronics complex (CEC) of data storage computing environment in advance of a potential power failure is provided. Upon receipt of a first early power off warning (EPOW) signal indicating power instability, a first priority of execution of a first data storage task to be performed pursuant to a new data storage request is decreased, while a second priority of execution of a second data storage task to destage data in nonvolatile storage (NVS) to disk is increased. Upon receipt of a second EPOW signal indicating power failure, a system shutdown procedure is executed.

    • A connector (10) includes two connector portions (12) and a boot (14). Each connector portion (12) includes a ferrule (78) and a latch (18). The latch (18) includes a distal end (24) and a proximal end (22). The latch (18) is pivotable about an intermediate connection portion (26). The boot (14) is mounted to the connector portions (12). The boot (14) moves longitudinally relative to the connector portions (12). The connector portions (12) mounted to the holder (96) by moving laterally to the side slots (98). The holder (96) defines an area for receipt of a fiber optic cable (150) when the ferrule (78) is pushed in a direction toward the boot (14).

    • Taught is tree bast fiber, along with a method for processing the same, the fiber being a natural textile fiber made of bark of trees except for mulberries and paper mulberries. The length of the fiber is 5 mm-65 mm. The fineness of the fiber is 0.3-2.5D. The intensity of the fiber is 0.275-0.582 N/tex. The breaking elongation rate of the fiber is 3%-7%. The method comprises the steps of peeling, sorting, degumming, skimming, drying, preserving, tanning, grinding, carding, baking, boxing and classifying, and packaging. The textile fiber is produced from a resource abundant in nature. The fiber has similar performance to bast fiber, higher intensity than cotton fiber, good dyeing properties, and wide application prospects. It can be blended with other natural fibers, man-made fibers and recycled fibers to form fiber yarn for various purposes. This method changes waste into a commodity, and brings about great economic and social benefits.
