摘要： A linear lighting system has a spinal structure or spine 11 and one or more elongated optical shade assemblies 13 attachable to the spinal wherein the spinal structure can be installed at a job site separately from the shade assemblies. The optical shade assemblies contain all of the more delicate optical components of the lighting system, such as a reflector 19 and diffuser cover 21, and can be shipped and handled separately from the more durable spinal structure of the lighting system, which includes system components such as lamp sockets 15, ballasts 18, and socket and ballast wiring. The spine includes multi-function bracket structures 35, 36, 80 which support the lamp sockets and which allow for the suspension, hanging or mounting of the spine and the joining of spine sections together in a continuous run.

摘要： An improved small profile hanger system for ceiling suspended lighting fixtures comprises a plurality of hanger assemblies having a support stem and a downwardly arced crossbar. The support stem and crossbar have a relatively small elliptical profile have two sets of wire holes, each set of wire holes having an inner hole and an outer hole overlapping the inner hole, the inner and outer holes defining an intervening gap narrower than the dimension of either hole. The holes are sized to receive an insulated wire; the intervening gap preventing the wire from crossing over into the adjacent hole. The wire holes of the support stem are in communication with the wire holes of the crossbar providing a fully enclosed wiring passage from a ballast box assembly installed above a suspended ceiling to energize a lamp in a diffuser depending from a pair of the crossbars.

摘要： The structural wall of a luminaire has one or more light source retention cavities for holding area light sources such as OLED panels, and a wire chase or chases that extend from one light source cavity to another light source cavity in the structural wall, and/or from a light source cavity to a wire feed point for the structural wall. The wire chase or chases have a wire retaining bottom channel and a constricted wire entry opening at the top of the wire chase that is narrow in relation to the wire retaining bottom channel for capturing the wires therein. In another aspect of the invention, the wire chase or chases can be manufactured as separate parts, which can be inserted into the structural wall of the luminaire.
