    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for connectors, which is high in operability, and compact and short, and has a wide application range, such that a first connector fitted to a second connector can be attached to a first housing, the first connector can be removed from the second connector through easy operation, and the first connector and second connector are neither damaged nor broken during the removing operation.SOLUTION: There is provided the auxiliary tool for connectors that includes an attachment member which can be attached to a first housing that a first connector capable of being fitted to the second connector with a second housing has, and an operation member capable of rotating with respect to the attachment member. The operation member has a lever part, the attachment member is attached to the housing, and when the operation member rotates while the first connector is fitted to the second connector, the lever part abuts against the second housing to press the second housing in a direction in which the first connector and second connector are released from being fitted to each other.

The ferrule 11 has a small diameter part which is formed in a prescribed range from a front end and to the outside of which a ring 16 for compression is fitted and attached, and the diameter of the small diameter through-hole 13a is reduced by making the small diameter part be force-fitted into the ring 16 for compression to fix the optical fiber housed in the small diameter through-hole 13a.
