摘要： The present invention relates to a medium storage device for an automated teller machine. The medium storage device for an automated teller machine according to the present invention comprises a base which accommodates a paper medium, and which has a push plate fixed at a belt circulating over a belt pulley arranged in the lengthwise direction at both ends of the base to press the paper medium, a base cassette for accommodating the base, and paper medium returning means for moving the push plate backwards to a predetermined distance when the base cassette is separated from a frame of the automated teller machine. The present invention can put the foremost paper medium back into the medium storage device when the medium storage device is separated from the automated teller machine.

A control unit(170) produces the speed of rotation of transport units by sensing the signal of encoder sensors. The control unit judges the overload status of driving units from the speed of rotation of the transport unit. A display unit(180) is used in order to inform the overload status of driving units.

A pressure belt(172) is connected with the driving belt, and presses the paper medium which is transferred by the carriage. A plurality of guide rollers is formed according to a transfer path of the carriage. A one-way clutch controls an engagement state of the pressure belt and driving belt to prevent collision of the paper medium with the pressure belt.
