SOLUTION: A holder for an arc tube-shroud assembly 52 has a flat disk 54. The disk has a plurality of shroud holding arms 56 that are arranged with an interval along the periphery of the disk and are extended in a first direction 58; at least two arc tube holding arms 60 extended in an opposite direction 62 for positioning an arc tube 52a laterally in a shroud 52b; and at least one arc tube locking tab 64 extended in an opposite direction 60 for positioning the arc tube 52a axially in the shroud 52b. The flat disk 54 has a plurality of breathing openings 82 that are sized to allow the discharge of compressed gas in the case of the non-passive trouble of the arc tube but to block the passage of the broken pieces of the arc tube propelled axially.

The frame has a first side rod and a second side rod spatially apart from each other by 180°, distant edge parts of the side rods are attached to the clip, and the side rods each have prescribed lengths. The first and second straps joint the side rods positioned between the near and distant edge parts of the side rods, and the arc tube is fixed between the first and second straps.

First and second side rods ( 50, 60 ) spaced 180° apart have distal ends ( 70 ) and proximal ends ( 80 ), with the distal ends being attached to the clip. First and second spaced apart straps ( 90, 100 ) connect the side rods intermediate the proximal ends and distal ends. An arc tube ( 110 ) is fixed between the first and second straps. The proximal ends diverge outwardly and engage the inner surface of a dome ( 14 ) to position one end of the mount. The barrel portion includes two sealed lead-in wires ( 120, 130 ). The arc tube includes an electrode ( 140, 150 ) in each end ( 140 a, 150 a). No electrical connection is made to the frame whereby the frame is electrically isolated.
