摘要： A dual lumen aspiration catheter system with an aspiration catheter, a hub and a flexible strain relief, and a suction assembly. The aspiration catheter includes multiple successively connected flexible tubular components each increasing in relative flexibility in the distal direction, the most proximal tubular component connectingly extending from the hub and through the flexible strain relief. The tubular components of the aspiration catheter include, in order proximally to distally, a composite tube, an intermediate tube, a dual lumen tube, and a flexible tip tube. The dual lumen tube includes eccentrically co-located large and small tubular portions forming eccentrically co-located large and small lumens to provide a minimum cross section. The distal end of the dual lumen tube includes a convex beveled edge. The convex beveled edge and the flexible tip tube singly or jointly inflict minimal traumatic contact with a vessel wall when urged along a tortuous vascular path.

摘要： A rapid exchange fluid jet thrombectomy device having a streamlined manifold and a catheter having multiple tubular segments where each tubular segment increases in flexibility in a distal direction. Torque response and pushability is enhanced by the arrangement of a proximally located tubular segment composed of a polymer-jacketed spiral metal tube in combination with an intermediate tubular section and a distal tubular section each having different degrees of flexibility. A guidewire tube exit region is provided where the intermediate tubular section joins the distal tubular section for over-the-wire guidewire usage. The polymer-jacketed spiral metal tube can extend along a partial or full length of the catheter and can include a basic continuous spiral cut which has regions of constant pitch or which has progressively decreasing pitch, or in the alternative, can include an interlocking spiral cut having constant pitch regions or progressively decreasing pitch.

摘要： A thrombectomy catheter system with occluder and method of using same for removal of tissue, such as thrombus and the like, form a vessel in the body. Multiple catheters and an occluder-bearing guidewire tube at a thrombus site provide for expandable deployment of a compliant occluder against the vasculature walls distal to the thrombus. The expanded occluder is maneuvered proximally to urge thrombus into close proximity with a retractable capture cone located distally on a capture catheter where the thrombus is dislodged, entrained, and broken into pieces by the action of a fluid jet emanator and then evacuated through the capture catheter.

SOLUTION: This flowing thrombus extraction catheter has a guide catheter 32 as a first tube where a fixed stopping member 150 that partially closes a hollow portion is fitted in a terminal end side open end, and an external assembly 12 where a guide wire 46 is inserted into the hollow portion. An internal assembly 14 furnished with a subsidiary tube 34 as a second tube having a terminal side end with more than one orifice and an internal assembly 14 furnished with a jet cap 44 that directs jets of saline water flowing out the orifices to the terminal side end of the guide catheter 32 is provided. The jet cap 44 of this internal assembly 14 is held against the terminal side end of the guide catheter 32 by the engagement of the fixed stopping member 150 of the external assembly 12 with a moving stopping member 40.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid type thrombectomy catheter which extirpates the thrombus from the human blood vessel passed into a bent pipeline existing in the brittle blood vessel or from the other celom. SOLUTION: The fluid type thrombectomy catheter 10 is provided with an external catheter having a hollow part and an internal high-pressure tube dimensioned to allow the passage through the hollow part of the catheter. The terminal side end 32 of the internal high-pressure tube extends beyond the terminal side end 33 of the catheter and carries a jet cap 44 for orienting >=1 jets of brine heading the base end side toward the terminal side end 33 of the catheter. The catheter 10 has a stationary stopping member 150 which is arranged on the terminal side and is directed inward. The internal high-pressure tube has a movable stopping member 40 which engages the inwardly directed stationary stopping member 150 to position a jet cap 44 at a specific distance from the terminal side end 33 of the catheter, is arranged on the terminal side and is directed outward.
