    • Provided is a production method for a rubber composition for tires which improves the rate of a reaction between a silane coupling agent and silica and by which a rubber composition for tires that has low fuel consumption performance, fracture properties, and processability that are improved in a balanced manner is obtained. The production method for the rubber composition for tires includes: a base kneading step of kneading a rubber component, silica, a silane coupling agent, a water-soluble acidic substance, and a water-insoluble basic substance; and a finish kneading step of feeding a vulcanizing material to a kneaded product obtained in the base kneading step, and kneading the resultant mixture.
