    • The invention relates to a method for producing a dental drilling template (1') from a blank (11') comprising a guide bore (2, 3, 4, 5) and a contact surface (10), wherein a virtual SD drilling template model (1) of the drilling template (1') has a virtual guide bore (2, 3, 4, 5) along a guide bore axis (6, 7, 8, 9) and has a virtual contact surface (10). The virtual SD drilling template model (1) is virtually disposed within an SD blank model (11) of the blank (11'). According to a first method, a pass-through point (12, 13, 19, 20, 23, 24, 27, 28) of the guide bore axis (6, 7, 8, 9) at an outer face (14, 31, 32) of the 3D blank model (11) is determined in a computer-assisted virtual manner prior to machining the drilling template (1') from the blank (11'), and a marking is applied on the outer face (14, 31, 32) of the blank (11') at the pass-through point (12, 13, 19, 20, 23, 24, 27, 28) of the guide bore axis (6, 7, 8, 9). According to an alternative method, a pass-through point (17, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, 29, 30) of the guide bore axis (6, 7, 8, 9) is determined on an outer face (15, 16) of the virtual SD drilling template model (1) and a marking is applied on the outer face (15, 16) of the drilling template (1') at the pass-through point (17, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, 29, 30) during or after machining the drilling template (1') from the blank (11').
