摘要： A method, includes receiving original image data having a first resolution, dividing the original image data into zones based upon a second resolution, wherein the second resolution corresponds to a resolution of backlight elements, determining a backlight value for each zone, and adjusting the original image data in each block to compensate for the backlight value for each zone to produce compensated image data, wherein adjusting the original image data comprises using the backlight value and an original image data value as indexes into at least one look-up table to acquire compensated image data. An apparatus has a source of original image data, a display panel of individual elements, a backlight of individual lighting elements, at least one look-up table having compensated image data, and a processor to determine a backlight value for each individual lighting element, and adjust the original image data to compensate for the backlight value and produce compensated image data by using the backlight value and an original image data value as indexes into the look-up table.

In response the UE measures and reports neighbor cells operating on any of that/those frequencies without regard to a threshold signal strength of a serving cell which is configured for reporting neighbor cells. In more specific examples, if the neighbor cells operating on any of that/those frequencies is considered a first set of neighbor cells, then the network also sends a second set of neighbor cells in other downlink signaling. Measuring and reporting on the first set of neighbor cells is less frequent than for the second set of neighbor cells, when measurements of the second set is required. Measuring and reporting on the second set is dependent on measured signal strength of a serving cell being greater than the configured threshold signal strength of the serving cell.

摘要： Method and System for Utilization of an Outer Decoder in a Broadcast Services Communication System is described. Information to be transmitted is provided to a systematic portion of a plurality of transmit buffers and encoded by an outer decoder communicatively coupled to the transmit buffer. The resulting redundant bits are provided to a parity portion of each transmit buffer. The content of the transmit buffers, is multiplexed and encoded by an inner decoder to improve protection by adding redundancy. The receiving station recovers the transmitted information by an inverse process. Because a decoding complexity depends on the size of a systematic portion of the transmit buffer, reasoned compromise between a systematic portion size and number of transmit buffers yields decreased decoding complexity.

摘要： Techniques for efficient allocation of channelization codes are disclosed. In one aspect, a dedicated data channel is partitioned into a primary channel and a secondary channel. The rate of the primary channel is a relatively low fixed rate. The rate of the secondary channel varies over time in accordance with the rate of the dedicated channel data. In another aspect, a channelization code indicator is transmitted in the primary channel to identify the secondary channel. In yet another aspect, more than one secondary channel may be deployed. Various other aspects are also presented. These aspects have the benefit of efficient code resource allocation, resulting in increased support for users/and or channels, as well as increased system capacity.
