摘要： An antenna assembly may include a first ground plane, a second ground plane that may be switched between grounding and non-grounding states, and first and second antenna layers. Each of the first and second antenna layers may include a plurality of pixels interconnected by a plurality of phase change material (PCM) switches. The PCM switches are configured to be selectively switched between phases to provide a plurality of antenna patterns within the first and second antenna layers.

A structural egg-crate core comprises a grid of core strips coupled to the non-conductive structural backsheet and is configured substantially perpendicular to the non-conductive structural backsheet around open boxes. A non-structural grid of antenna feed cards is configured substantially perpendicular to the non-conductive structural backsheet and crosses the core strips. A non-structural grid of antenna feed cards comprises intersections configured within the open boxes, and electronic feed-lines aligned with the electrical vias. Antenna array unit cells comprising antenna cards coupled to the non-structural grid of antenna feed cards and configured to fit within the open boxes.

摘要： A radio frequency (RF) circuit for a ring antenna array element includes first and second feed elements, and a conductive element disposed between the first and second feed elements. The first and second feed elements are electrically couplable to a conductive resonator for a frequency band. The first feed element is configured to conduct an electromagnetic current. The conductive element is configured to resonate outside the frequency band to reduce cross-coupling between the first feed element and the second feed element due to the electromagnetic current.

A structural egg crate circuit board comprises a grid of circuit board planes coupled to the ground plane and perpendicular to the ground plane around open boxes. A signal feed-line is coupled to the structural egg crate circuit board and couple-able to a signal transmission line. A driven feed layer parallel to the ground plane is coupled to the signal feed-line and to a side of the structural egg crate circuit board opposite to the ground plane.
