The dispenser includes a housing; a reservoir for containing lubricant; a pump assembly operable to pump lubricant; and a purge assembly including a channel defined by the housing and extending between the reservoir and atmosphere, at least a portion of the channel extending along a channel axis through an opening in the housing and to atmosphere, and a plunger slidable along a plunger axis between a sealed position, in which the reservoir is isolated from atmosphere, and an open position, in which the reservoir is in fluid communication with atmosphere, the plunger axis extending at an angle with respect to the channel axis. The purge assembly may include a biasing member operable to bias the plunger toward the sealed position. The tool may be a dispenser and may include a motor supported by the housing; a trigger; and a trigger lock assembly.

摘要： A grease gun includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, a pump assembly coupled to and driven by the motor, and a chamber supported by the housing in fluid communication with the pump assembly. The chamber is configured to store a liquid. The grease gun also includes an outlet in fluid communication with the chamber and a measurement system operable to measure an amount of liquid being dispensed through the outlet. The measurement system monitors a change in current of the motor over a cycle of the pump assembly, compares the change in current to a predetermined value, and, if the change in current is greater than the predetermined value, increases a pump cycle counter to indicate that liquid was dispensed.

摘要： A powered dispensing tool includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, a rack coupled to the motor for powered translation in at least one of a forward direction and a reverse direction, and a transmission selectively coupling the motor and the rack. The transmission includes an input ring rotatable in response to rotation of the motor in a first direction corresponding with powered translation of the rack in the forward direction, a first clutch member engaged with the rack through an intermediate gear, and a second clutch member that receives torque from the input ring and that is movable in response to rotation of the motor in the first direction toward a first position engaging the first clutch member. The second clutch member is also movable in response to rotation of the motor in an opposite, second direction toward a second position disengaged from the first clutch member.

The transmission also includes a clutch member coupled for co-rotation with the output shaft and movable along the output shaft between a first position, in which the clutch member is engaged with the output member for transferring torque from the output shaft to the output member, and a second position, in which the clutch member is disengaged from the output member to inhibit torque transfer between the output shaft and the output member.
