The extremity contacting sections may be laterally arcuate, may be laterally rotated, and/or may be tilted about a lengthwise axis of the sportsboard. In another aspect, to reduce stiffness in the sportsboard, a plurality of grooves are formed widthwise across the sportsboard, particularly across thicker portions of the sportsboard, to reduce the compression forces necessary to bend the sportsboard in a lengthwise direction.

摘要： Une fixation pour planche à neige comprenant une base destinée à contenir le pied, un coussinet de cou-de-pied destiné a couvrir le haut du pied, un support arrière articulé destiné à couvrir l'arrière du talon et de la jambe. Le coussinet de coude-pied est relié a la base par des câbles de tension passant dans les cotés de la base et étant finalement attachés sur le support arrière. Le support arrière est maintenu à la verticale par un levier a ressort. Lorsque le levier est tiré, le support arrière peut se rabattre vers l'arrière, dégageant l'espace arrière et relâchant la tension dans les câbles, ce qui permet un accès facile du pied. Ramener le support arrière à la verticale a pour effet de rétablir la tension des câbles pour maintenir le pied fermement en place grâce aux effets combinés du support arrière et du coussinet de cou-de-pied. Lorsqu'un pied n'est pas dans la fixation, le support arrière peut se replier sur la base afin d'occuper moins d'espace de rangement.
