    • PURPOSE:To perform the detection of a beveling edge part of good accuracy by focusing the reflecting light of a slit, etc. irradiating on a beveling face and base material from the slant upper part on a slit plate and by subjecting only the reflecting light passing the inside of the slit to a one dimentional signal processing. CONSTITUTION:A slit light or scanned 30 spot light 22 is irradiated at right angles with the longitudinal direction of beveling at the angle of 30-60 deg. from the light source 12 of the slant upper part in beveling longitudinal direction of a base material 1. The reflecting light of these irradiating lights is focused for image formation on the slit plate 26 having a long and slender slit 24 in the direction intersecting at right angles with the beveling longitudinal direction by the objective lens 23 having an image magnification (m). The width of the slit of this case is 0.5mm. for instance. The transmitting light passing through the slit 24 thereof only is detected by a detector 25 and the output signal thereof is subjected to one dimentional process by a signal processing circuit 31, and the position of the beveling edge part is detected. It is thus made easy to provide a profile device on each torch provided to a tandem even in a multilayer welding and the elevation in welding quantity can be taken place.

    • PURPOSE:To apply a seal agent to a prescribed position of an object to be sealed, by detecting a position at an end of a sealing object with a light sensor and driving a drive circuit with a detected signal so as to correct the object to be sealed and a nozzle to a prescribed relation with the drive of the driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:A hand main body 10 of a position and track correcting sealing hand is provided with a light source 14 of a light sensor, a photodetector 15, the nozzle 16, a seal hose 17 applying a seal agent to the nozzle 16, and a guide groove 13. Further, the drive circuit 12 is engaged to the guide groove 13 with a gear, a hand fitting section 11 is linked mechanically to the circuit 12 so as to shift the circuit 12 along the guide groove 13 and make the circuit 12 turnable to the main body 10. Moreover, the object to be sealed 18 is fixed to a fixing stand, the end position of the object 18 is detected with the light sensor and the detected signal drives the circuit 12. Then, the object 18 and the nozzle 16 are corrected into a prescribed relation and the seal agent is applied to the prescribed position of the object 18.
