    • A stapling machine has a base carrying an anvil and a staple magazine (8) pivotally connected to the base. The magazine (8) defines an ejection slot (14) for staples adjacent the anvil, and contains a spring-biased feeder (40). The feeder (40) is biased towards the ejection slot in the magazine by means of a constant tension spring (50). The constant tension spring (50) has a coiled part (51) which is retained within a chamber defined within the magazine, and has an elongate part (52) connected to the feeder.

    • A fastening tool assembly is provided with a housing having a contact surface to contact a workpiece. A magazine is mounted in the housing to store fasteners and to convey the fasteners to a fastener outlet. A knife is mounted in the housing for translation between a latched position and a release position to drive a fastener from the magazine through the outlet during translation to the release position. A biasing member is mounted in the housing and is operably connected to the knife to bias the knife to the release position. A handle is mounted to the housing to translate relative to the housing. The handle is operably connected to the knife and the biasing member to load the biasing member and release the knife and the biasing member, thereby permitting the biasing member to return the knife to the release position to drive a fastener through the outlet.

    • A magazine front end retaining structure for hammer tacker includes a case body head cap connected to a front end of a case body of a tacker case of the hammer tacker; a retaining push member pivotally mounted to a front opening of the case body head cap; an outer staple channel head cap connected to a front end of an outer staple channel of a magazine, which and a magazine cover are coaxially pivotally connected at respective rear end to a rear end of the case body, and a catch section located at a front end of the outer staple channel head cap for the retaining push member to hook thereto, so that a front end of the magazine is held to the tacker case.
