    • There is disclosed a transport apparatus for transporting a flat bed load (12) of the like having two opposite ends (22, 23), the apparatus comprising: a rear trailer (14) having a frame (18) with two opposite ends (20, 21) and a plurality of wheels (19) supporting the frame; a trailer hitch (16) for detachably connecting one of the ends (20) of the frame (18) to a motor vehicle; a load hitch (24) for detachably connecting the other of the ends (21) of the frame (18) to one of the ends (22) of the load (12), the load hitch (24) including a trailer brace (50) for distributing a part of the weight of the load substantially evenly over a length of the frame (18) between the two ends (20, 21) of the frame; and a tractor hitch (26) for detachably connecting the other of the ends (23) of the load (12) to the motor vehicle, the motor vehicle including a chassis, a plurality of axles mounted on the chassis, and a plurality of wheels mounted on the plurality of axles, and the tractor hitch (16) including a vehicle brace for distributing a part of the weight of the load (12) between at least two of the axles, whereby, in use, the load (12) is supported at the one end (22) of the load by the trailer (14) and at the other end (23) of the load (12) by the tractor hitch (26) connected to the motor vehicle for transport of the load, and the trailer (14) disconnected from the load (12) and connected to the motor vehicle by the trailer hitch (16) may be transported separately. The apparatus eliminates the need for the load (12) to have wheels or for a crane to move an immobile load onto a flat bed trailer.

    • A portable towing system for a motorcycle or similar vehicle, such as a trike, the frame of which can be lowered to ground level to facilitate loading of the motorcycle or similar vehicle by pushing or riding the vehicle onto the frame without risk of the vehicle falling off the sides of a steeply inclined ramp. The towing system may be assembled, raised, lowered, and disassembled by a single person, if desired. The towing system also comprises a cargo box to store the frame when disassembled. The raising and lowering of the frame is effected by a lifting and lowering mechanism connected with the wheel assemblies, and at least three heights of the frame are achieved by rotation of the lifting and lowering mechanism of the wheel assemblies. The cargo box and the frame can use the wheel assemblies interchangeably.

    • A transport vehicle for taking up and taking off in particular long containers (6) onto or from a loading platform (4) has road wheels (11, 12, 13) incorporated in a carrier (14). The carrier is movable, with respect to the loading platform (4), in a longitudinal direction between a rearmost position for driving and a foremost position in which the loading platform projects behind said carrier and can be tilted as far as the ground.
