    • A method and apparatus for depositing a layer of aggregate material over a large area of land, for example, in preparing a new land fill waste-disposal site. An elongated, endless-belt conveyor is positioned across the width of the site and is supported upon a plurality of longitudinally spaced tractor units which are adapted to move the entire conveyor laterally across the length of the site. Aggregate material is supplied to one end of the conveyor and is conveyed toward the opposite end thereof. A mobile discharge unit through which the endless-belt passes, is moveable longitudinally along the conveyor to discharge the aggregate from the endless belt continuously as the discharge unit travels between the ends of the conveyor. The discharged material is continuously conveyed laterally away from the conveyor, deposited upon a portion of the site and spread along a strip of the land area laterally adjacent to the conveyor. After the strip has been covered with aggregate adjacent the conveyor along the entire width of the site, the tractor units move the entire conveyor laterally over the finished strip, and the process is repeated until the entire site is covered.

    • A device for unloading and reloading includes a bridge with a first conveyer belt, the device being provided for delivering pourable goods to a destination along a quay and includes a tower for pivot-mounting the bridge; also sliding longitudinally on the tower one end of the bridge is provided for the discharge and transfer of goods from the first conveyer; a support carriage runs on rails along the quay; a carrier frame mounts that one end of the bridge to the carriage; and a depositing device with extended structure is pivoted about a vertical axis in an area of the frame mounting, and receives pourable goods from the first conveyer belt and delivers the goods for depositing by and at an end of the extended structure.

    • A continuous-operation extraction apparatus for strip mining that is self propelled on continuous track treads. A cylindrically-shaped cutting extractor has cutting tools arranged on its peripheral surface. Recesses are provided in this peripheral surface for the transfer of extracted material through a chute to a first conveyor that is located axially within the cylinder of the cutting extractor. A second conveyor having loading carts connects with the first conveyor and receives the loosened material from the first conveyor. The first conveyor has an inside section which emerges from a front side of the cylinder and merges outside into a sloping conveyance section which extends vertically to substantially an upper edge of a chassis. An overhead ascending section is connected to the inside section and terminates in a transfer region where the extracted material is transferred to the second conveyor.
